Create a Folder

Folders can help you stay organized and declutter your Inbox.

Mac:

  • To create a folder in Mac, click on the Astrobot icon in the bottom left corner and type in "Create a folder called [folder name]"
  • You can also click on the (+) icon that appears when you put your mouse over "Folders" in the left sidebar

Mobile:

  • To create a folder in iOS, tap on the Astrobot icon and type in "Create a folder called [folder name]"

Move emails to a Folder

Folders are a helpful tool to sort your emails, and you can quickly drag one or multiple emails to folders.

Mac:

  • To move a single email, simply drag the email to a folder
  • To move multiple emails, hold down "Shift" while you select with your mouse or with the down arrow, then drag those emails to a folder
  • You can also move a single email or multiple emails by selecting the desired email/s and pressing the "Control" key while clicking on the email (this will reveal a menu where you can select "Move to Folder")
  • To move a message to Junk, simply drag it to the Junk folder or click the folder icon and select the Junk folder

iOS:

  • To move a single email, hold down the email you want to move until a checkmark appears, then select the folder icon in the bottom left corner to choose a folder
  • To move multiple emails, hold down the email you want to move until a checkmark appears, select any other emails you want to move, and then select the folder icon in the bottom left corner to choose a folder
  • To move a message to Junk, tap on the folder icon and select the Junk folder

Android:

  • To move a single email, hold down the email you want to move until a checkmark appears, then select the folder icon in the top toolbar to choose a folder
  • To move multiple emails, hold down the email you want to move until a checkmark appears, select any other emails you want to move, and then select the folder icon in the top toolbar to choose a folder
  • To move a message to Junk, tap on the folder icon and select the Junk folder, or select the "..." at the top of the message and select "Move to Junk"

Pin a Folder

Pin your most important folders to the top of your Sidebar so they are always front and center.

Mac:

  • In the sidebar, select the folder you want to pin
  • A pushpin icon will appear on the right, click it to pin the folder
  • The folder will now show up in the pinned section for easy access

iOS:

  • Go to Settings > Account (select account) > Folders (select which folders you'd like to pin)

Android:

  • Go to Settings > Account (select account) > Folders (select which folders you'd like to pin)

Ask Astrobot to Move Emails

  • If you always move emails from a specific sender to a specific folder, you can ask Astrobot to move those emails automatically. Just type “move all messages from [sender name or email address] to [name of folder].”
